So proud to officially open the RESTORE Centre.
Led by Prof Laura Tarzia, our team is ready to transform health services so that they restore the health and wellbeing of survivors of sexual violence in adulthood.

Thank you to our special guests at last night’s launch event, DFSV Commissioner Micaela Cronin, Dr Claudia Garcia-Moreno (WHO) and lived experience expert and CRE associate investigator, Fiona, who officially opened the Centre.

Through the Centre, we will create new pathways to healing for victim-survivors by providing evidence for whether therapies like trauma-sensitive yoga, physical activity and music therapy are effective. We will identify how victim-survivors use health services and where there are unmet needs, particularly for LGBTQ+ people. We will explore how a ‘sense of safety’ can be achieved in health settings. We will generate new interventions, and build supports for health services to be able to provide care that is truly ‘survivor-centred’.
