Simon Rosenbaum
Professor Simon Rosenbaum is Co-Chair of the NExuS (Nutrition, Exercise, and Social Equity) research group in the Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health at UNSW Sydney. His research explores the intersection of physical activity and mental health, with a focus on populations affected by trauma and social disadvantage. Simon has delivered workshops in over 20 countries and has extensive experience working in complex humanitarian settings and low- and middle-income countries, including Bangladesh, Colombia, India, Uganda, and Nigeria. Simon is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher and a member of the Olympic Refuge Foundation Think Tank. Locally, he founded Addi Moves, a community initiative providing free, trauma-informed exercise interventions for people experiencing trauma and social disadvantage.
